The Mercury Cafe presents “Presidential Election, 2012,” an original work by the Mercury Café’s Allied Witches opening Friday, October 5 at 7.30.p.m and performed on Friday, October 12, 19, 26, with a special performance on Wednesday, October 31 - Halloween night. This year's production will introduce the audience to The Good Witch of Colorado, Patricia Schroder, Emma Goldman, Alice Paul, Elizabeth Warren, and many other good witches. Expect cameo appearances by Katniss Everdeen, Lisbeth Salander and Hermione Granger.

Now in their 12th year, Allied Witches chose the name in solidarity with those who have been persecuted or oppressed and in solidarity with the women who steward the Earth. Each summer the "allied witches" meet to write a new and original tragic comedy. The result of this collaboration is produced every October to mark the beginning of winter.
