Merce Cunningham in Memoriam November 5, 2009

WUD Film Committee Starlight Cinema presents 'Merce Cunningham In Memoriam,' featuring rare documentary footage, video art and a live dance tribute. The evening will culminate as UW-Madison dancer Brittany Wittmann performs an original, self-choreographed dance piece dedicated to Merce, drawing inspiration from her experiences while studying at the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio. In the spirit of Merce's highly collaborative and avant-garde nature, this performance will also feature live processed video projections and improvised, experimental music by Madison artists.
