The Merce Cunningham Dance Company, following its founder's death in late July 2009, continue to perform as one of the most innovative dance companies in the world. Merce Cunningham choreographed to such diverse artists as John Cage and Sigur Ros. An aggressive experimenter with new technologies (including video and motion capture), he has defined American dance for over half a century.
