Men's Nude Tecopa Hot Springs & Death Valley Weekend April 18, 2009

At this point in planning, we’re looking to see who’s really interested in what, and have a poll still open to assist us at:

Personally, I am thinking that renting a cabin at Delight’s Hot Spa (a motel with it’s own, private hot spring pools) is perhaps the best way to go, unless someone has an RV or camper they’d like to use – someone mentioned renting one along the way, but I’m not sure if they have any dealers close enough to really matter – the closest would likely be in Ontario, Corona, or Rancho Cucamonga, unless they have such in Baker or nearby.

Using an RV would also mean paying to access the developed hot spring pools, unless we were to stay at the former County-run campgrounds (it gets you into the former County-run baths free).

Besides the really wonderful soaking waters in Tecopa (feels very soft, & kinda “silky”, even though it’s really very hard water), there’s other things to see & do, like: Hiking, visit ghost towns, see the Death Valley wild flowers, the Death Valley Museum in Shoshone (nearest town to Tecopa, about 10 mi.), visit the China Ranch Date Farm (yummy date shakes & other date confections, tours, etc), and you can also go soak in the outdoor hot spring pool, or soak in the bentonite clay mud pits.

For meals, one can go into Shoshone at the Crowbar restaurant, or perhaps the Tecopa Café if it’s open, or you can bring something non-perishable, or perhaps go into Pahrump, NV, and get some groceries at either Smith’s or Albertsons, or maybe even Wal-Mart. (Going into Pahrump also would mean more sightseeing, as well as a chance to gamble at a Nevada casino, if you so choose.)

As more guys reply to the poll or even RSVP, we’ll firm-up our plans once we know what you really want to do and knowing the available resources (we do need someone to drive a car pool, for one thing).
