Eugene filmmaker Henry Weintraub returns to Salem to premiere his new feature length film, MELVIN, June 19 at Northern Lights Theatre Pub. The film was produced entirely in Oregon during the past year with over 50 local cast and crew members, including Patrick O'Driscoll, a lead in the recent production of "Hamlet" and an appearance by Troma Entertainment owner, Lloyd Kaufman.

The film follows Melvin, a college student, three years after his accidental murder, as he takes vengeance on those responsible for his death. His enlists the help of a nerdy college student, Norton Pincus, as he initiates a spree of evisceration, regurgitation and decapitation.

Weintraub has been making short films in Oregon for seven years, including the sci-fi comedy, MindSlime, which was recently picked up for distribution by Troma Entertainment in New York City and is slated for national release later this year. For more information, visit www.531productions.com.

The event begins at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door.
