As part of its 2008 Canada Festival, a celebration of Canadian arts and culture, the Americas Society is featuring a solo exhibition of the work of Montreal's Melvin Charney. Charney's training in architecture (at Montreal's McGill University and later at Yale) has informed his artistic vision, one that is commonly characterized as "urbanism." His multi-medium approach includes photography, sculpture, photo-based montages, and installations. Not to be missed.
