Japanese noise rock band, Melt Banana, found more success in the United States and the United Kingdom than in its own country, gaining a small but dedicated fan base among American and European punk rock fans. The Sleeping People feature members of Pinback. This San Diego-based band has long been at the center of controversy. The Locust was formed in 1995 from the shards of San Diego hardcore stalwarts, Swing Kids and Struggle. Since then, it has hosted a veritable Who's Who of punk rock royalty.
