Melodia Women's Choir May 3, 2008

The acclaimed 32-member ensemble, led by Cynthia Powell, performs "Force Of Nature: Celebrating the Earth," music about the natural world. Works by Samuel Barber, Kodaly, Ronald Perera, premieres. Now celebrating its fifth season, Melodia was praised by WNYC for its "elegance and ringing tones." Performances are Saturday May 3, 2008 at 8 PM and Sunday May 4 at 4 PM. $1 of each ticket goes to "Water Is Life - Kenya," a project bringing clean drinking water to drought-affected areas of southern Kenya.
