Melbourne French Theatre Inc., Australia’s longest-running
foreign language theatre, returns in May with Caught In The Net (Chat et Souris), the hilarious sequel to Run For Your Wife, Melbourne French Theatre’s hit comedy of 2008. . The play will be performed in French with
English surtitles, at the Collingwood College Theatre from Tuesday, May 5 to Saturday, May 9, 2009. Caught In The Net (Chat et Souris) tells the story of French taxi driver
and bigamist, Jean Martin, who has been successfully married to two women for 18 years. With homes in different arrondissements of Paris, Jean Martin manages to keep the two wives oblivious to his bigamy, two-timing each of them while working double shifts in his cab. However, his life begins to unravel spectacularly when his 15-year-old
daughter by one wife and his 15-year-old-son by his other wife meet on the internet and become intrigued by the fact that they both have fathers with the
same name who are Parisian taxi drivers.
