Mel Kendrick: Jacks December 14, 2011

'jacks,' an outdoor sculpture installation by Mel Kendrick, consists of four monumental sculptures. Made of concrete cast in alternating layers of black and white, the sculptures are simultaneously massive and playful. Each eleven-foot-tall sculpture features a block-like pedestal upon which sit intersecting cylinders that rest on points--like a child's toy jacks.
