New York artist Meg Webster makes sculpture and drawings that are sensual and intellectually rigorous. Influenced by the Land Art Movement of the 1970s, Webster's drawings use natural materials such as flour, spices, chocolate and ash, which engage the viewer through visions, smell and an imagined sense of touch. The artist makes metaphorical terms, such as rich, deep and lush, literal. The exhibition Meg Webster will also include sculptures made from melted armaments and materials that inspire viewers to contemplate their impact on the environment.
