Tasting Tables, Talks, Demos and Recipe Ideas with Live Music

The Terrace Brewery - Launch of 7 new beers. 11.00am-16.00pm. Tim Kearsey of The Terrace Brewery, probably Gloucestershire’s newest, smallest micro-brewery is launching his fist 7 British and Belgian style beers. British Range: Bitter; Old Special Bitter Premium bitter; Brunette and IPA. Belgian Range; Seasonal Fruit Beers; Triple and Blackfriar.

Native Breeds - A celebration of Spring with Welsh Teg. 11.00-16.00. Native Breeds will taking a Teg lamb from Barbara Warren at Court Bleddyn Farm in Monmouthshire and with the alchemic combination of Native Heritage Herb combinations from Liz Knight from Forage, will be cooking up a Spring BBQ of Lamb Merguez, patties, roasts and steaks. There will be a tasting table and recipe explanations from Native Breeds’ associate Charcutier, Matt Beddell. Matt was trained at the School of Artisan food and will be working with the award winning Graham Waddington to show off the gastronomic delights of truly excellent local lamb.

Parsnipship - A celebration of cooking with seasonal vegetables. 11.00am -16.00pm - Question and Answer at 2.30pm. Ben Moss will cooking and selling his vegetarian delights using a washing machine drum. There will be a tasting table through out the day. Ben will be available for a question and answer session at 2.30pm. Wild garlic, which isjust coming through, will be threaded through his cooking for this event.

May Hill Brewery - Tasting from 11.00am - 16.00pm Talks at 12.00am and 15.00pm. The microbrewery from May Hill uses its own spring water from its own borehole to make 5 beers; Admiral May, Legend, Legless Cow, Summit and May Hill Wassail. Tony will give two talks about the brewing process at 12.00 and 15.00pm

McCrindles Cider - Tasting from 11.00am -16.00pm
James McCrindle will be tasting his second bottling of the Perry Methode Campenoise, the Forest of Dean’s first ever champage perry and his range of ciders and perry.

VQ Wines - Tasting from 11.00am -16.00pm. Debbie Atrill of Longhope will be tasting her extensive range of hand-made fruit wines. Everything is grown on the farm, It is hand-picked and unsprayed. The idea is that nature provides the best quality produce when left naturally.

Maggies Cheese - Tasting from 11.00-16.00. Elaine will be tasting her cheeses including the Forest of Dean’s first goats cheese, fresh cheese and camembert. Elaine will be bringing recipe ideas and cooked treats for take away.

Also available Fabrice and his fabulous French bread and pastries, Taurus chocolate and cakes, fresh vegetables from the Market Garden and Mary Whittles Preserves.

All accompanied by the tropical sounds of Pandemonium steel drum band playing at 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm and children’s activities.
