The Medibank International is Sydney's biggest annual international sporting event. It is also Sydney's biggest summer tennis party with plenty of off-court action including bands, roving entertainment, theme days, prizes and the fun of Fanfest where you can pit your skills against a range of interactive games.

This prestigious event is steeped in tradition. First played in 1885, it is the world's fifth oldest tennis tournament. Over the years it has hosted tennis greats such as Hoad, Laver, Newcombe, Roche, Rosewall, Sampras, Court, Evert-Lloyd, Goolagong-Cawley and Navratlilova - through to today’s champions including Federer, Nadal, Henin-Hardenne and the Williams sisters.

During its long and proud history, it has also developed a reputation among players as one of the most relaxed and enjoyable on the tennis circuit.
