"The National Media Museum is 25 years old this year and as part of the anniversary celebrations we will present the first MediaFest conference, taking place on Saturday 18th October 2008. We will debate and explore how society has consumed, created and participated in the media over the past 25 years. With sessions hosted by notable figures from the world of media we will provide a platform for discussing critical issues. What predictions can we make for the future of the media industries in the next 25 years?

The programme for the conference will consider all areas of our remit; Photography, Film, Television, Radio and New Media but rather than discussing these areas as separate issues the conference will consider the way in which these areas now work together in the 21st century and will continue to do so in the future."
