Organist John Medeski, percussionist Billy Martin and bassist Chris Wood formed the band that bears their names in New York City in 1992. Crossing musical boundaries in so many ways, their recordings and performances have been praised for their adventurous detours and unabashed creativity. Italian vocalist Roberta Gambarini is one of today's most accomplished jazz singers. She has the ability to paint emotion with her smooth, pristine voice and she breathes life into jazz standards with elegance and swing.
