The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) has organized international conferences on mechanical engineering in every two years since 1998. This series of conferences is intended to present the results of research and development activities in mechanical engineering in Hungary and abroad encompassing all branches of mechanical engineering, but always highlighting a certain area such as information technologies, energetics, material science, measurement technology and signal processing in mechanical engineering, engineering design.

In the spirit of the above, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BME hereby announces the conference “MECHANICAL ENGINEERING 2010”, to be held on May 25-26, 2010. The conference will encompass all branches of mechanical engineering, highlighting the results of basic- and applied science in the area of

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES.

The main objective of the Conference is to provide a forum to exchange knowledge, experience results and information related to various aspects of advenced technologies in mechanical engineering.

Doctoral students, engineers active in Hungary and abroad are all welcome to the conference, abiding by the principle that the language of presentations and posters will be either Hungarian or English, that of the periodical Gép will be Hungarian or English, and that of the studies to be issued in the CD publication will be English.

Structure of the Conference

The scientific programme will consist of plenary lectures, and parallel sessions with invited lectures and contributed oral presentations. Poster presentations will be held in scheduled poster sessions.
