How do you know if training has worked? Do you measure how well participants did in the training room, or back on the job? What makes training effective-or not-anyway?

Discover the answers to these nearly age-old questions about training. Find out what gets in the way of making training work, so you'll know what not to do, as well as what you can do to increase the chances that training-whether delivered live or online-will bring the results your organization wants.

You'll leave this session equipped with over 10 specific, proven techniques you can use to increase the usefulness and transferability of the learning experience to the job.

By the end of the session you'll be able to:

* Identify and reinforce factors that make training stick and address those factors that impede it.
* Build in techniques, before, during and after training to increase learning, retention and transfer.
* Include key elements for effective learning for adults in all training programs you provide.
