U-N-C-L-E's first annual Frith Night Erie MEAD weekend

U-N-C-L-E is the United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie.

Saturday June 16th -17th Proceeds to benefit U-N-C-L-E activities.

The event includes:

Mead Making Competition
All Brewers are welcome to enter this competition. For those entering the competition, you will need to bring two 720ml bottles for the general populace judging. Cash prizes to be awarded. (Amount and categories to be determined)

Mead Making Workshops
Everything is provided for you to make your own gallon of mead on site. (Mead kit included in the price of admission) (And no, you can't enter this into the competition this year... maybe for next years.)

Mead Tasting and Judging for a Nominal Fee
(this is a fund raiser, after all)

Viking Games of Skill and Chance
Kube (pronounced koob) which involves mostly thowing sticks at blocks in true viking style; and hnaftmel, a board game so treacherous that most mentions of it in the historic sagas tell only of the fights it caused amongst the crew. What fun! Both will be played tournament style, with boasting rights to the winners.

Potluck Cookout
Bring something to share with 30 of your (soon to be) closest friends. (Mead tasting can do that.)

Late Night Bonfire
(It will involve boasting, toasting and oathing) Whispering Lake Grove, ADF will be holding a Norse sumbel ritual to honor all mead makers and brewers preceeding the bonfire. Everyone is welcome to participate to toast their Deities and Ancestors, as well as make any personal boasts, toasts and oaths.

Extreme Primitive Camping
(Strongly suggested for those staying for the bonfire... or even those intending on really tasting all the meads they can)
