McEvoy Ranch Hosts Thomas Mueller Extra Virginity Book Signing January 24, 2012

Olive oil enthusiasts will have the opportunity to visit McEvoy Ranch’s San Francisco Ferry Building shop on Tuesday, January 24 to experience a special book signing event for Thomas Mueller’s newest release, Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil. The book explores the history of olive oil and the exploitation of the “extra virgin” standard over the course of centuries. Mueller’s expertise in olive oil began with an explosive article in the The New Yorker. He is now considered the world’s leading expert on olive oil and olive oil fraud—a story of globalization, deception, and crime in the food industry from ancient times to the present. Prior to the signing, the shop will host an exclusive tasting of McEvoy Ranch’s acclaimed Olio Nuovo, followed by a Q&A round with the author.
