Ashkenaz provides a rare all-ages setting for a night of live hip-hop by fresh local acts, presented by All The Rebels and hosted by Tony Sparks, the “godfather” of Bay Area stand-up comedy.

Oakland rapper Dub Esquire came up in Misfitz of Stylz before going his own way. He brings new and hot songs from his upcoming album, “The Odyssey,” and classics from his solo debut, “G-13.” His new single, “Rapstarz,” features Dirt Nasty and Del. www.myspace.com/dubesquire

The musical production collaborative Westacy teams up onstage, featuring music from the new EP “The Inhale EP.” www.westacy.com

East Oakland rapper-singer Baby Jaymes brings songs from his album “Ghetto Retro,” as well as a lot of Prince-style guitar and soulful surprises in the music. “Baby Jaymes is a hip-hop generation throwback to the days when you just weren’t hip if you didn’t have a stack of soul 45s under your arm at all times,” wrote XLR8R Magazine. Some of his songs have ended up on television and in films. He blends social issues into personal exploits. www.soundcloud.com/babyjaymes
