Matthew Montfort of Ancient Future Performs Spanish Serenades, Meditative Maqams, and Reflective Ragas April 30, 2010

Experience uplifting music from Matthew Montfort's debut CD, Seven Serenades for Scalloped Fretboard Guitar, which earned rave reviews and a feature in Guitar Player Magazine. Montfort is the leader of Ancient Future and will perform on scalloped fretboard guitar, a modified instrument able to perform note ornaments more characteristic of the Indian sitar, and Glissentar, an 11 string fretless guitar based on the oud.
