Matt Jaffe is a 15-year-old singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. He began studying violin at age five and began to experiment with guitar, mandolin and vocals around the age of 11. Since then, he has performed regularly throughout the Bay, including venues in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Fairfax. Drawing from influences such as Talking Heads and Ted Leo &the Pharmacists, Matt writes original music that has won "Best Original Song" awards at recent West Coast Songwriter competitions. He continues to write and perform both solo, as well as with the band Lost Cosmonauts. (Artists proceeds from tonight will benefit Habitat for Humanity.)
Daniel Lavezzo is a fingerstyle guitarist from Vallejo, CA. His repertoire ranges from Chet Atkins-style country to Brazilian and New Age. He is a frequent Bay Area performer, who often performs as a member of The Lavezzo Brother's, a fingerstyle guitar duo composed of Daniel and Anthony Lavezzo. He has performed at venues such as the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley and the Acoustic Vortex in Larkspur, opening shows for musicians such as Peppino D'Agostino and Carlos Reyes.
