Matt Dehaemers: the Nereid Beckon March 20, 2009

Artist Matt Dehaemers's exciting outdoor sculpture project, 'The Nereid Beckon' will feature huge bottle shapes that appear to float on the lawn. These 16 foot long-ship like bottles are made up of thousands of smaller component bottles, each containing messages from people in the community. Messages may express hopes or fears about the life of the lake, or reverence for the lake. They may also reflect historical or personal experiences.
