Mastodon is a popular band with a large following. They play a brand of rock that's pure and hard-hitting. Cursive is an Omaha-based hard rock group that started as a quintet but is now a four-piece band and is supporting their newest album, 'Happy Hollow.' Seattle's These Arms are Snakes, formed from the ashes of seminal art thrashers Botch and Minneapolis hardcore heroes Kill Sadie, are fast-becoming an integral part of the Pacific Northwest's dynamic musical fabric. The group plays heavy, tense, percussive rock that manages to stay edgy throughout. This band plays punk music with excellent lyrics and a fresh, raw sound.
