MasterCard Debit & Prepaid Conference 2010 June 1, 2010

The theme of this year’s conference is “Towards a Cash Free Day”. To help us kick off this journey, the conference will first explore top level industry and business strategies towards reducing cash payments in Europe in an introductory joint session. It will then allow those more interested either in Debit or Prepaid to attend dedicated sessions and interactive workshops on these topics.

You can expect the agenda of this conference to be particularly rich and refreshing. We will look into the many ways our industry is delivering convenience, security and control to today’s consumer and how, together, we are helping to break down the barriers towards a cashless society. Theory will be debated in tandem with the important real-life “cash reducing” examples, insights and experiences of our partners.

Between us:

• We will share the latest research on consumer and merchants’ attitudes towards cash and alternative payment means.

• We will present a series of opportunities and solutions to address the multiple existing and perceived barriers to everyday card usage by consumers.

The conference will be held at the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest, Hungary on 2-4 June 2010.
