Massage for the Cure January 5, 2010

On Monday, September 22, 2008 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Massage Envy, a national massage franchise with nearly 20 locations across New Jersey, is offering free one-hour massages in exchange for donations of any amount towards breast cancer research. The all-day event is called Massage for the Cure, and 100% of the funds raised will be donated to local Affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. We are proud to help fight breast cancer through donating our time and offering the community a free day of relaxing massages said Bob Weisman, New Jersey director of franchise development. Everyone is welcome to join us, and our staff is looking forward to providing each person with a free massage. We are currently expecting more than 1000 massages to be given away, so we encourage everyone to register early for their relaxing and rewarding day. The funds raised will directly benefit the Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey and North Jersey Affiliates. We appreciate that every single Massage Envy clinic in New Jersey dedicated September 22nd to give free massages to help us in finding a cure for breast cancer, said Nancy Healey, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey Affiliate. The events in New Jersey are part of many Massage for the Cure days happening across the country. Massage Envy will make a guaranteed donation of $250,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 2008. Reservations for 2008 Massage for the Cure appointments will be accepted throughout the entire week before the event, beginning at 8 a.m., Monday, September 15.
