287 Oak St
Uxbridge, Massachusetts

The Blackstone Canal was an engineering marvel connecting Worcester to Providence when it opened in 1828. However it was soon replaced by railroad and fell into disuse a mere twenty years later. Now it's a well maintained trail route through woods, wilds, & old orchards; sometimes along the old tow-path, other places in the former canal bed.

We'll meet at the parking of River Bend Farm in Uxbridge at 2pm and from there carpool 'upriver' to our starting point. Parking & admission are free. The path is level and generally well-maintained so everyone should be comfortable. We'll be walking about 3 miles. Dogs are welcome. Afterwards everyone is invited to join us for a family-style dinner at Wrights Farm.
