Dear Groovers

Mash it Up! is back on Saturday April 2nd - in sunny Hackney N16 - for
one night only - with the very finest in upbeat, danceable reggae and
straight-up funky-assed funk.

And.....some brand new features:

1. A new level of giving - this time - ALL of the proceeds go to the
Alpha Boys School and orphanage on Kingston, Jamaica, in memory of Don
Drummond, Tommy McCook and Alpha's other great, musical graduates.

What's more, the DJs and the venue are all providing their
services for free so virtually all of your ?5 entrance charge will go to
this very worthy cause.

2. The North East's no 1 revive reggae and soul specialist, making his
club debut south of Watford: Greedy G (Roots on Wax) - Along with your
regular Mash it Up! DJs.

3. A brand new (secret) venue in Hackney N16. Ssshhh!
Drinks at pub prices - natch.

4. A new door policy. This time, its an invitation only event because
its only a very little venue. To get on the invitation list - email:
[email protected]

NB. You cannot pay on the door - you can only book in advance. This is
the reason I'm keeping the venue a secret until you book.

Also, we've only got this venue until midnight so we're going to lock
the doors at 9pm to ensure sufficient time for jumping around. This
also means that a lovely friend will do the door for an hour as a
favour, and then they'll get to jump around too. This means I won't
have to hire a door person which means more money for the Alpha Boys
School and orphanage. It also means of course that it is going to be
virtually a private party with a really sweet crowd.

Because its a little venue and because we haven't done a Mash it Up!
night for ages, I am very hopeful that this event will sell out in advance.

The arrival of Greedy G in the big smoke has already resulted in levels
of interest that I've not seen before so far in advance of a gig.
Booking is available on a strictly first come, first served basis.

I've got very good vibes about this one.

Love and respect
