Join Women & Their Work on Thursday April 2nd for Mas!Mas!Mas!, a spring fling packed with avant-garde live music and performance from Silky Shoemaker and No Mas Bodas.

Silky Shoemaker is co-founder of annual music festival GayBiGayGay and monthly performance night Camp!Camp! This summer, her scene-stealing interludes in Rebecca Havemayer’s Trivia Travesty showcased her penchant for deadpan humor, personal mythology, and elaborately profane costumery. At Mas!Mas!Mas! she will debut a new short play about love and hate, featuring dancing, video collage and papier machê.

The four ladies of No Mas Bodas deliver avant-synth-saturated sexy pop soundscapes complete with live cello, saxophone, otherworldly vocals, xylophone and drum machines. They’ve been burning up dance floors around Austin lately, so don’t miss your chance to see this special performance at Women & Their Work!

And as a bonus--if you haven’t gotten a chance to view the Texas Biennial group show DIY: Double Wide, it will still be on view at Women & Their Work during Mas!Mas!Mas!
