It is July, 1920, the night before Mary's Wedding. Through an exquisite dreamscape she dreams of the details of her young love with Charlie from their first encounter during a thunderstorm, to the breathtaking passion of their first ride across the prairies on horseback, to the trenches of France during World War I.
