The beautiful University of Maryland campus will buzz with activity April 29, 2006 ? our 8th annual Maryland Day open house. It?s also a birthday celebration to honor the university?s 150th Anniversary. Maryland?s students, faculty and staff invite the entire Washington, D.C. region to come enjoy a day full of fun, learning and discovery.
There will be more than 450 events, including tours, exhibits, live performances and sporting events from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Everything is family friendly, including many hands-on demonstrations, workshops, a petting zoo, and much, much more. Don?t miss a scoop of Maryland ice cream at the Dairy! Admission and parking are free, and campus navigation is easy with the help of complementary activity maps. In March, you?ll be able to plan your day online at http://www.marylandday.umd.edu/.
So invite family and friends to mark their calendars for April 29th, visit the Terps, learn something new, and make some Maryland Day memories.
