MaryLand, a collage of sound, projections and dance, is drawn from early experiences of gymnastic training and competition and subsequent journey through a life in dance. Research for the piece stimulated many memories: visual, physical and emotional. It provoked discussion about physical training; about aesthetics in sport and dance and about the developments and modes of performance of modern and post modern dance. MaryLand forms the 7^th dance as part of a series called Emotional Dances made with mature female dancers that Ulla Koivisto has been directing in Finland since 1996.

Walking Within - Episode 11.  Andrea Buckley has been developing Walking Within - Episode 11 in collaboration with film artist Dan Williams and composer/musician Jamie McCarthy. Tonight's performance will feature extracts from the process with musician Jamie McCarthy.
