Mary Jane Mahan - "Love at the Pub" Preview Party July 12, 2008

Local author Mary Jane Mahan has been working diligently in preparation for the release of her first book, Love at the Pub, a collection of photographs and stories chronicling the history of the beloved Decatur gathering-place cornerstone Brick Store Pub. We at Wordsmiths, always one for good food, good drink, and good company, are joining forces with Mary Jane Mahans spectacular and ambitious project to present a Love at the Pub preview afternoon. Mahan will recount stories shes uncovered in her research and discuss the history of Brick Store Pub in regards to her forthcoming book, and will invite any and all in attendance to bring a bottle of their favorite brew to raise in toast to Brick Store while sharing their own favorite Brick Store stories. Join us for a fun and festive afternoon in celebration of one of Decaturs favorite and finest establishments, Brick Store Pub, 125 E. Court Square.
