Marvels of Modernism July 24, 2009

Peavey Plaza is one of twelve modern landscapes selected for the Cultural Landscape Foundation's (TCLF) 'Landslide' designation. This year's designees, 'Marvels of Modernism,' were chosen from hundreds of nominations submitted from throughout the nation. 'Landslide' is an annual program of TCLF to raise awareness of significant landscapes at risk of being lost. Earlier this year, Peavey Plaza was designated by the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota as one of Minnesota's 10 Most Endangered historic sites. An exhibit of Peavey Plaza and the other 'Marvels of Modernism' will be touring around the state for the next six months.
