Join us as we explore the Martinez Marsh area. This marsh complex includes both fresh and marine waters providing a wide variety of habitats for birds, especially in the middle of winter. We can expect to see species such as Common Goldeneye, Barrow's Goldeneye (rare), Bufflehead, Green-winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Northern Shoveler, Western Gull, American White Pelican, Western & Clark's Grebes, Pied-billed Grebe, Black-crowned Night-Heron & Green Heron, Marsh Wren, Common Yellowthroat, sparrows, finches and blackbirds. Shorebirds will also be present if mudflats are exposed, and hawks are often in this area. Meet on site; directions will be sent.
