The AustinIWW presents Martha Ojeda to speak about the Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras (CJM)

The Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras is a tri-national coalition of religious,environmental, labor, Latino and women?s organizations. The CJM supports worker and community struggles for
social, economic and environmental justice in the maquiladora industry.
It is dedicated to democratic process and unity of action, maintaining sensitivity to diverse representation within our coalition.

Recent projects include support for the LAJAT WORKERS UNION that represents workers in plants making Levi?s Jeans along the US and Mexico
border. Government recognition of the independent union has been successful in the courts, but the company continues to attempt to bust the union.

Martha Ojeda is the Director of the CJM.
