Marksmanship Camp October 30, 2009

The Timothy Group is pleased to be gearing up for a great event in October. A one day event of firearms safety, shooting, and marksmanship exercises. This all day event will expose our young men to the use of shotgun, pistol, and rifle. The Group would like to bring about 75 young men to the event. The day will consist of trap shooting, pistol shooting, and rifle shooting. Each two boys will have a shooting coach. This 2-to-1 ratio will ensure a quality teaching time. Each shooting lesson will be one hour long. The group of 75 will be subdivided into 3 groups consisting of 25 shooters with 12 instructors each. We are excited to announce that the shooting instructor will afford great attention to details to the two participants. The highly personalized instruction will focus on safety shooting practices. The Shotgun will enhance instinct shooting. The pistol range will enhance targeting and precision techniques. The rifle range will develop build confidence. Register as soon as you can so we will know how many boys to expect. I will share this information with the AMU. WHO: The Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) WHAT: One-Day Youth Marksmanship Training Camp WHERE: Fort Benning, Georgia, Army Marksmanship Unit, Poole Range Complex WHEN: A tentative schedule for the days events is outlined below: 30 October 09 10am safety briefing 1030 break boys into three sections (shotgun, rifle, pistol) 11 shooting begins (pistol) 12pm lunch 1pm rotate to next section (Rifle) 2pm next section (Shotgun) 3pm Award ceremony The Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) at Fort Benning is extremely professional and morally correct. I do not hesitate to involve our young men with the AMU. The AMU instructors are serious about their craft. They travel the globe instructing in the safety and use of firearms. They have won medals at the 2009 Olympics. They are recognized around the world as leaders and champions in a variety of competitions. The book of Timothy instructs our young men to be as these men are..."not ashamed of our youth...to be knowledgeable in our work...ready to give an answer". 30 October 2009 is a date that will give us an opportunity to mentor our young men to do just this. The Timothy Group will be sending a waiver for each shooter to fill out and send back. The target age range for this event is 15-18 (parents may shoot too).
