Marin History Museum 2009 Annual Gala benefiting the Museum’s future Marin Rocks Exhibition, a unique and exciting project that will highlight the many features that have helped establish Marin’s diverse music heritage. World class entertainment, hosted cocktail reception, fine dining, silent and live auction. Former Rolling Stone editor Ben Fong-Torres will emcee and special Tribute to Marin Music under the expert direction of Music Director Narada Michael Walden, Grammy-winning producer, songwriter and musician. Entertainment by Dr. Elmo & Wild Blue, Craig Shaw Quartet, Tom Finch Group and local teen band Animal Instincts. Later on, Narada’s Marin Music Tribute will include special guests Sam Andrew & Lynn Asher (Big Brother,) David and Linda LaFlamme (It’s a Beautiful Day,) Lorin & Chris Rowan (Rowan Brothers,) Maria Muldaur, Diane Vitalich & Mary Simpson (Ace of Cups,) and some other surprise musical guests.
