Named after Gwyneth Paltrow's character in The Royal Tenenbaums, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's can be described as "chamber pop". They're an 8-piece band with a sound parallel to Arcade Fire, The Decembrists, and the Shins. They are signed to Artemis Records and their debut album, "The Dust of Retreat", was re-released in March 2006. With the extremely recent release of two new albums (on Oct 7) called "Animal!" and "Not Animal", they'll have plenty of material to fill the Halloween night! Wonder if they'll dress as the Tenenbaums in the spirit of the holiday?? Just another enticing reason to come check them out!
