The entire body of Sutton's work, as well as her personal papers and large library, were given to her alma mater, Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in 1992. They document the accomplishments of a hitherto unknown member of the New York avant-garde. Research into the scope and meanings of Sutton's works is just beginning.
