Marfa Lights Festival September 4, 2009

The Blackwell School Alliance, in partnership with the Marfa Chamber of Commerce, proudly presents the 2009 Marfa Lights Festival at the historic Presidio County Courthouse grounds.
The festival features artists exhibiting
and demonstrating original art and crafts as well as food and entertainment. Saturday night's headliner band is three time Grammy Award winner Little Joe y La Familia, who will perform at the Vizcaino Park.

The festival starts at 5pm Friday, September 4, with DJ music and dancing at the courthouse. At 8pm, Los Pinche Gringos from Terlingua will take the stage for a four hour dance party.
Saturday's Schedule:
6:30am - 10K Run/5K Walk
10am - Marfa Lights Festival parade. Booths open after the parade.
1pm - Miley Franco Band
3pm - Alpine Belly Dancers
3:30pm - the El Paso band Raw Deal

Saturday night concert at Vizcaino Park with Nightlife from Del Rio, Texas, and Little Joe y La Familia. Tickets for Little Joe y La Familia are available at $25 per person by calling 432-729-4445, 432-729-4811 or 432-386-5737.
