March Events in the Carmel Arts & Design District

Carmel , IN – Many merchants and businesses in the Carmel Arts & Design District have fun and educational activities and events planned for the month of March. Visitors to the Arts & Design District on Saturdays can sample tasty treats from Joe’s Butcher Shop and Fish Market while ordering delicious steaks or seafood for dinner, deal directly with antique dealers at the Carmel Old Town Antique Mall, learn about newly released mystery novels from the authors who wrote them at The Mystery Company or receive free massages and register for spa give-aways at the Joy of Raphael Holistic Spa and Wellness Center. - CURRENT – Grosser & Co. Master Jeweler Now Open in New Location!

o You are invited to Grosser & Company’s new location in the Arts & Design District! Mark Grosser, Master Jeweler, will feature his hand-made fine jewelry in the studio during the month of March. March also offers free jewelry cleaning and inspections.

- CURRENT – “Two Sisters’ Collections” at the Museum of Miniature Houses

o “Two Sisters’ Collections” contains handcrafted miniatures of Emma Rogers and the collected dolls of Rose Chevrolet. The Rogers ’ displays are room boxes ranging from elegant bathrooms to formal living and dining rooms and feature two glamorous sets of wedding gowns. The Chevrolet dolls are baby dolls from the Madam Alexander collection.

- FIRST WEEKEND IN MARCH – Girl Scout Cookie Sale

o February 29th is the first day Girl Scout cookies are on sale for 2008! Girl Scout Troupe #1887 will be selling boxes from a cookie booth located in the breezeway of the Old Town on the Monon Loft Apartments (OTOTMLA) located at 111 W. Main Street . The breezeway is located between the OTOTMLA Office and Lucky Lou Boutique. Box of cookies is $3.50 each.

o Booth will be present Friday, Feb. 29th from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Mar. 1st from noon-3 p.m. & 6-8 p.m.

- MARCH 1ST – Storyteller Heather Forest at the Carmel Clay Public Library

o Award-winning recording artist and author Heather Forest has toured for thirty years, delighting audiences with her unique minstrel style of storytelling that blends original music, folk guitar, poetry, prose and the sung and spoken word. This program is co-sponsored by Storytelling Arts of Indiana.
