Mandala Art Forms

COME SHARE THE MYSTERY AND EXCITEMENT OF CREATING YOUR OWN PERSONAL MANDALA. RELAX AND DE-STRESS THROUGH COLOR. A mandala is a circular design that grows out of the urge to know oneself and is considered a universal form integrating various aspects of the psyche into a symbolic image of wholeness. The mandala has appeared in the art and community expressions of cultures for thousands of years. Examples of mandalas can be found as cathedral windows, Native American medicine wheels and the creations of Tibetan monks. Information on the history of mandalas, meaning of color in mandalas and instruction on creating your own mandala will be presented. Oil pastels and art paper are provided.
