Noe Valley Chamber Music Highlights Collaboration
Guitar and Violin Duo Featured

Noe Valley Chamber Music (NVCM) presents its third concert of the 2012-2013 season featuring a unique musical afternoon concert. Marc Teicholz, guitarist, and Ian Swensen, violinist, both accomplished soloists, will bring their combined musical talent to the NVCM series on Sunday, January 13 at 4 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1111 O'Farrell St (at Gough), SF.

The concert includes works by Bartok, Giuliani, Assad and Piazzolla. (Please note that cellist Tanya Tomkins, originally scheduled for this event will not be participating due to an injury.)

Marc Teicholz is a prize winning classical guitarist. He has toured the world as a soloist and as a member of a quartet and is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Several composers have created new work for him. Marc Teicholz graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, earned a master's degree from the Yale School of Music, and a J.D. from the UC Berkeley at the Boalt School of Law.

Ian Swensen studied at Julliard and the Eastman School of Music. He teaches at the SF Conservatory of Music and has performed as a soloist around the world. He has won top prizes for both chamber music and violin.

Noe Valley Chamber Music (NVCM) has been presenting superb chamber music in San Francisco since 1992. NVCM audiences hear and meet the Bay Area's finest musicians, ensembles, and vocalists in the authentic yet informal chamber music tradition. A new CD, "Celebration! A Musical Feast," featuring NVCM performers, is now available.
