This intimate, emotional evening that according to the N.Y. Times "exudes the fabulousness of a brash showbiz kid" features Music Director Lance Horne on piano & Yair Evnine on cello.
Alan Cumming's films include Circle of Friends, Bryan Singer's X2: X-Men United, Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids trilogy, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Goldeneye, Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, Titus, Emma & Sweet Land, earning an Independent Spirit Award for producing. Alongside friend Jennifer Jason Leigh, he wrote, produced, directed & starred in the acclaimed The Anniversary Party, winning a National Board of Review Award & 2 Independent Spirit nominations. His 2nd feature film as actor/director was the 2008 film Ghost Writer. On TV he starred in "Sex and the City," "Frasier," "Third Rock From the Sun," "The L Word," "Reefer Madness" PBS' "Masterpiece Mystery" (host) & "Tin Man." Prominent stage work includes his stunning debut as the Emcee in "Cabaret," which garnered him a Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards, "Threepenny Opera," "Design for Living," "Elle," "The Seagull," "Bent," & "The Bacchae." Cumming recently released his debut album, "I Bought a Blue Car Today," & wrote a one-man cabaret show -touring it to rave reviews. He'll be seen in both The Tempest, opposite Helen Mirren, & Burlesque starring Cher & Christina Aguilera & is voicing a The Smurfs, out in 2011. He can also currently be seen on the CBS hit THE GOOD WIFE and will return for Season 2 as a series regular. Cumming was most recently appointed an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours list honored for services to film, theater, & the arts, & to activism for equal rights for the gay & lesbian community.
