The New Yorker’s Alex Ross has written that French-Canadian pianist “[Marc-André] Hamelin’s legend will grow” and that “right now there is no one like him.” This unique musician’s upcoming recital at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall will include Schumann’s memorable set of miniatures and a mammoth showpiece from Liszt that is based on music from Bellini’s Norma, as well as works from Haydn, Wolpe, and Fauré.
