Manuel Lopez's Latin Jazz Project October 15, 2009

Manuel Lopez, Instructor Peter Ellingson, and Lecturer Joan Cullison form the Manuel Lopez Latin Trio, a group with a contemporary repertoire that is strongly influenced by Caribbean and Brazilian rhythm and modern jazz compositions. The trio will bring a modern jazz concept and an uncommon approach to Latin Jazz with a mixture of highly arranged passages, odd-meter playing, and free improvization. The event will be held in the King Center Recital Hall.
