Manthia Diawara: in Residence November 11, 2008

International House will be screening two of filmmaker Manthia Diawara's documentaries. 'Rouch in Reverse' focuses on French filmmaker Jean Rouch and the struggle of Africans to construct their own version of modernity. 'Who's Afraid of Ngugi?' tells the story of acclaimed writer Ngugi wa Thiong'o's return to Kenya after years of exile.
