This 2-hour creative workshop is for women living with cancer, and will be led by Richard Killion, LCSW, CEAP, a therapist with 10 years of experience providing wellness training to individuals and organizations. Mandalas, or sacred circles, have been used in cultures around the world for artistic expression and meditative contemplation. The creation of a mandala begins with a dot from which intersecting lines are drawn, creating geometric patterns that are contained within circles or squares. Mandalas facilitate self-discovery and aid in the healing of body, mind and spirit. Workshop participants will learn about mandalas, then meditate as a way of centering themselves, and finally create their own mandalas. No artistic skill or experience is necessary. To learn more or to pre-register (program is free but PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) call Support Connection at 914-962-6402.Free to women living with cancer. A $10 fee is required at registration but will be returned upon attendance.
