"THE SHAKE UPS are a four-piece rock band from Indianapolis, Indiana. Their sound combines elements of current indie pop, early 60's rock, and a pinch of everything in between... with a twist of lemon.

Formed in early 2005, the band is comprised of lead guitarist/occasional bassist ED CHO, drummer/backing vocalist KATHIE O'CONNOR, lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist PATRICK O'CONNOR, and bassist/keyboardist/all-around musician-for-any-occasion CURTIS WYANT.

Some of the band's primary influences include the Beatles, Pixies, XTC, Radiohead, Neil Young, the Zombies, Ted Leo, Wilco, and the Shins (to name just a few). Patrick and Curtis serve as the band's main songwriters, with occasional contributions from Ed."
